The Holiday Story
Thanks for visiting the bakery!

Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a
little about 'Holiday Baking Company'.

I am Lisa. I started 'Holiday Baking' in 2002 in a small apartment with a very, very small kitchen. My mother and grandmother brought me into baking at a very young age. (the pictures on the left shows how young, as I was helping my mom bake. I won't say how many years ago that was!) Thru the years I found baking to be something that I thoroughly enjoyed. I never looked at it as a job, but as a passion.  My mother and grandmother taught me how to bake from scratch (no mixes).  They handed down their recipes to me and to this day, EVERYTHING that comes from my kitchen is made from their recipes and  from scratch. That's right, EVERYTHING, is made from scratch and  fresh daily. I may change their recipes now and then, but, I will NEVER use a mix! Anyone who grew up with their mom or grandmother baking knows there is nothing like 'homemade'

I have my dad to thank for the company name. He loved ALL holidays. It seemed mom was baking something for holidays that I had never heard of! So, with thoughts of my dad,  'Holiday Baking Company --Where Everyday is a Holiday' was born. I believe, as he did, 'you don't need a holiday to make everyday a holiday.'

Thanks to many requests from loyal customers asking me to bring my 'old fashioned - from scratch baking'  to everyone, in March 2008, I opened the bakery in Worthington, OH.
We are gluten free thanks to our customers. If it had not been for you, our customers, we would not be where we are now. Thru you, one of our owners  found out she also suffered from celiac disease.

      In July 2009, we went 100% gluten free. Our products and facility are totally gluten free.

     Thanks to being spoiled with home cooking growing up, nothing in a store is ever good enough. With the belief that all things should be made from scratch, we never stop experimenting with recipes.

    With a celiac business partner, who wants things made from her mom's, grandma's, or aunt's kitchen, we can only say this to our customers: ' We promise to share all that we perfect from our family's kitchen'. We will not stop trying to reach for that genuine taste we all may remember.

     We have not heard that gluten free had to be tasteless, boring or missing out on anything.

     Our mission is ...... to bring you the same great gluten free tasting menu that your grandma would have served you.
